Phytoantiseptic for skin and mucous membranes inflammatory infection treatment and prevention
Sanguirythrine is used as a prophylactic medicine for newborns to prevent skin pyoinflammatory diseases and for surgical patients to prevent wound fever. As a remedy: in cases of skin and mucous membranes infectious and inflammatory diseases of bacterial or fungal etiology, including Candida albicans; in dentistry: in cases of periodontitis, stomatitis, helcoid necrotic gingivostomatitis and other oral cavity blennosis; in otolaryngology: in cases of angina, middle ear and external auditory canal diseases; in surgery: in cases of long time racking infected burns, wounds and chancres; in gynecology: in cases of endocervicitis, coleitis, vaginitis, cervical erosion; in dermatology: in cases of pyoderma, superficial blastomycosis, dermatomycosis.
Active ingredient: 1 ml of fluid contains 2 mg of sanguirythrine; excipients: ethanol 96%, purified water.
Sanguirythrine is extracted from Macleaya cordata (Willd.) R.Br. and Macleaya microcarpa (Maxim.) Fedde, from Papaveraceae bloodline. Sanguirythrine presents disulfate mixture of two structurally and property similar quaternary benzophenanthridine alkaloids sanguinarine and chelerythrine. Sanguirythrine possesses a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, influences on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, monilia and mycelial phungi. It is active against antibiotic resistant microbial strains. It has bacteriostatic effect in therapeutic doses. Sanguirythrine antimicrobial action mechanism is based on bacterial nucleases inhibition, cell walls, segmentation septa penetrance, nucleotide constitution processes abnormality.
